The hot spot finder do a good job on finding hot spots. Will buy another one when wife get her notebook computer.
This product is exact what the description says. Though i have found it to be relatively useless unless I'm in an extremely remote area. Otherwise it just tell you the strength of any signal, not necessarily the signal you want.
This unit has not failed to give me an indication almost exactly the same signal strength as my laptop, and so far has found a lot of wi-fi opportunities I would have otherwise passed up. At the price I paid through Amazon, I strongly recommend this product for locating legitimate open/free networking sites.
Tried it and it works great. Simple to use. Gets you into the zone, then fire up the laptop to see if the hot spot is unencrypted or encrypted. Can't go wrong for the money.
